Description: This recent find comes from the Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Engineer who served in WWII prior to becoming an engineer. He began his Aerospace career with the Materials Branch of the Guided Missile Development Division at Redstone Arsenal / ABMA in 1951 and in 1960 transferred to NASA working under Wernher von Braun. He specialized in evaluating and testing materials for rockets and spacecraft including researching effects of low temp and hydrogen on materials. He was awarded Exceptional Service Medal and Yuri Gagarin Diploma among many others for his work on the Saturn, Apollo, Apollo-Soyuz and early Space Shuttle Development programs. He served as Deputy Chief of Materials Division and then later Assistant Director of the Material and Processes Laboratory. This listing is for a folder of Original meeting and trip reports from White Sands (ABMA) to NASA MSFC (1952-1965) relating to various engines metallurgy and design including the F1. Folder with reports/memos are in Very Good condition for use and age with some expected aging and storage wear. Please see all pictures.
