This model was signed by four Gemini/Apollo astronauts who all went on both Gemini earth orbital flights and on the Apollo missions to the moon. This model was autographed by these astronauts 12 years ago. The astronaut signatures include Apollo 11 Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 15 Dave Scott, Apollo 12 Richard Gordon, and Apollo 17 Gene Cernan who was the last person on the lunar surface. This amazing plastic model was carefully hand built and painted by a retired NASA employee that worked on the Gemini program. He knew many of these astronauts personally. He was a clean room technician who performed various duties including assisting in the loading of the astronauts into the Gemini capsules. He had firsthand knowledge of the Gemini capsule details. The space capsule interior has been meticulously painted with two Gemini astronaut figures inside. It also has an accurately painted exterior with detailed rocket components too. It is beautifully crafted throughout. It comes in a very nice wooden and glass protective display case. It is quite rare and very collectible!
