Description: Unlike some new plastic replicas, this is a metal plaque similar to the ones carried aboard Pioneer 10 and 11. It was intended to show an alien civilization that may have come across it where the spaceship came from and when and by whom it was launched. The plaque measures 10" x 8" and is in a black metal frame. The actual age is unknown but not recent as the paper description on the back shows age related yellowing. That faded paper is an explanation of the various design elements encoded on the front. A fascinating piece of space history.Let me know if you have any questions.
