The blades are sharpened but as with all edge tools, they'll need some more sharpening before use. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. Blade sizes are: 6mm, 12mm, 20mm & 26mm. The handles are ergonomic with oval cross-section made from clear varnished wood. They are equiped with steel ferrule and hoop. Blades are made from highly alloyed Cr-Mn steel, hardened up to Rc 59. Meets DIN 5139 requirements. Handles are ergonomic with oval cross-section. Blade sizes: 6 mm (1/4"), 12 mm (1/2"), 20 mm (13/16") and 26 mm (1 1/32"). Made in the Czech Republic.
