Description: Eve Miller was born in Bruxelles, Belgium. She moved to New York with her family and settled in the Hudson River Valley, rich in panoramic vistas. Frequently , Sunday was a family drive to Olana , home of Frederick Church of The Hudson River School .Traveling throughout Europe while growing up influenced her love of landscapes. From the fertile valleys in Western Europe to the arid texture of the Middle East, Eve always studied the variety of the landscape and especially the changing cloud formations. For Eve the sky is the most emotional element of the landscape and it is the focus of her studies. These visions have become part of her current artwork. After earning a BA , MA and DA in French and Spanish, she taught college and secondary classes. Eve moved to Beaufort, South Carolina in 2003. The Low Country’s beauty found in the surrounding coastline and marshes were to be the inspiration for what has become her visual poetry. Eve strives to engage the viewer on a spiritual level. She hopes to communicate at higher energy vibration through the beauty she translates in her pastel paintings.Eve is a signature member of The Pastel Society of America, Juried Journeyer member of The Pastel Guild of Europe, Juried member of the Women Artists of the Southeast , Juried Full Member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club , Juried elected member of the Salmagundi Club and associate member of the California Art Club, Juried elected artist of the National Association of Women Artists and Juried Associate Member of Allied Artists of America.
