Description: Multi-Color Chullo Stocking Cap Hat with Earflaps, Tassel Ties, and decorated with Cows/Oxen in Excellent Used Condition (EUC) Unbranded and the material is unknown. The size is Medium to Large and it has a little stretch. Appears to be a traditional chullo (an Andean style of hat with earflaps, made from vicuña, alpaca, llama or sheep's wool), but it may be a hat/cap made in the style of a chullo. Hats have been worn in the Andean mountain region by indigenous peoples for thousands of years. Wearing different types and colors has a significance among certain Andean natives. The Andes extend from South to North through seven South American countries: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela. According to Peruvian historian Arturo Jiménez Borja, the chullo has its origins in the cultural exchange between Spaniards, who incorporated elements of their birretes and the original hat of the Andeans. Excellent Used Condition (EUC) with no obvious signs of previous ownership or use. As such, the cap may be considered to be Like New. Muted colors with grays, white, black and browns. Smoke-free, pet-free home.
