Even though on eBay most Sellers refer to ALL of these little dolls from the 1950's as "8 Inch Dolls", I have discovered that there is actually a variety of sizes, ranging from 7.5 inch to 8.5 inch dolls, from this Era..Anyhow, I tried this outfit on several of my Mom's little vtg dolls and found that the best dolls that wear this outfit are the 7-3/4 inch dolls such as Muffie and the early Gingers (not the larger 8 to 8.5 inch vtg dolls, like the PMA dolls).. I have posted photos of an EARLY GINGER doll, modeling this outfit, since she is the same size as a Muffie. The "model" is an early Ginger doll with painted lashes (PL) and is 7-3/4 inches tall (NOT 8 inches). I have tried this dress on a few larger dolls that were 8 to 8.5 inches tall (ie: a P.M.A. doll and an ANDREA doll) and it did not fit them. Therefore, this dress will basically only fit a Muffie or Early Ginger doll since they are smaller than the other 8 inches tall dolls. . .Description: Listed is this cute outfit comprised of a dress and matching panties. I do not know the name or the number of this Muffie dress, and I don't have a Muffie reference book, but I've been told that this is an actual VINTAGE (nasb) Muffie outfit. But you can decide. (To me, it looks exactly like the other Muffie outfits from my Mom's Muffie collection that I've sold in the past).. The dress is NOT TAGGED and has a hook-n-eye type of closure. . Made of a cotton fabric. The flowery part of the dress has purple and pink flowers and green leaves throughout. Then the bottom of the dress and bodice have a purple cotton trim. The matching panties are made of the same flowery cotton fabric.Both in very good condition.
