The Pivot Davit Assembly is a componentthat pivots 360 degrees and is used fordismounting at elevated work platformswithout disconnecting from the Dyna-Glidesystem. This davit includes an anchoragering for connection of a personal fall arrestsystem or a travel restriction system. The Pivot Davit is attached at the very topof a rail or LRC section. It permits the user topivot onto a ladder landing or work platformwithout disconnecting from the Dyna-Glidesystem. Once on the platform or ladderlanding, the user can then disconnect fromthe Dyna-Glide Fall Arrester or remove theFall Arrester from the davit. The integralanchorage ring provides a compatibleanchorage point for MSA lanyards toenable continuous tie-off while aloft. Thiscomponent is particularly useful at locationswhere disconnection from the Dyna-GlideSystem is necessary at locations withoutadequate fall protection means or suitableanchorage points. The gated models also prevent the climber from inserting the fall arrester in the wrongdirection (upside down).The ungated model of end stop is rigidly mounted to the rail end and completely prevents the fall arresterfrom being taken off the rail system. Obviously, therefore, when the ungated end stop is used at one end ofthe rail system, a gated end stop must be used at the other end in order to permit the insertion and removalof the fall arrester. Alternatively, if an ungated end stop is used on both ends, the fall arrester must bepermanently left on the rail system. This is not recommended unless the system is located in a place, whichis secured from the weather and from unauthorized users.
