Description: CONDITION: The underplate has 2 tiny flakes on the edge that are barely noticeable. There is minor wear to rims. This glass bowl with underplate was produced in Bohemia by Moser or Meyers Neff in the 1880s. The underplate measures 4 7/8 inches in diameter and is 7/8 of an inch deep. The bowl is 1 3/4 inches high with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The hand blown glass has a leaded content so that it rings when tapped. It has light blue coloring. The panels of enameled decorations are amazing quality. The scrolls and flowers are of raised enamel in shaded colors, similar to decorations of Russian enameling on silver. Extremely fine vermicelli gilding fills in the panels. Borders of gold fish scale accent the rims of the bowl and interior of the underplate. It is a wonder that so much time an effort went into the decoration of this little piece of glass. #E424 Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. You will be blocked from further purchases.
