Description: Morning Glory is native of Mexico and Central America. Ornamental Vine bears heart-shaped leaves and trumpet shaped flowers purple or blue, lavender, pink or white flowers about 3-4 inches across. They are not only attractive, fragrant and colorful but also beloved by butterflies and hummingbirds. Train over pergola or arch or use as a dense ground cover. Sow after danger of frost, in late spring or early summer once the ground has warmed to about 64 degrees f. Planting the seed: Soak overnight or 24 hours before planting to encourage germination. The plants will grow in dry soil but you will want to keep watering to keep the top inch of soil moist. This encourages steady growth and generous amount of blossoms. Germination: 7-21days. They bloom from early summer to the first frost. Produces lots of flowers continuously. Height: Grows quickly up to 6 -9 feet in one season. Morning Glory plants need support.
