Description: This Mopar Inland 4 speed shifter has been in my Texas attic for over 50 years. Time to pass it on. I am of the age it is easy to confuse memory with imagination. I recall removing it from Joe Bob's 1966 Formula S Barracuda when I installed a Hurst shifter. The replacement was prompted by the reverse cable in the housing failing. Brewer's Performance has new cable kits. Even if you are installing a shifter with a functioning cable smart money is to upgrade to a new cable. Floor shifters require a boot. The boot will not stretch over the t handle. Whether you are installing a new boot or reusing an existing boot the t handle needs to be removed. That means disconnecting the reverse cable from the t handle. The cable is reconnected by threading it through a tiny hole in the t handle. Used cables are always frayed to the point they are difficult to impossible to reuse. Smart money is to have a new cable prior to attempting to install a boot. The shifter is USED but the chrome handle is very nice. The handle base is marked 44532. What you see is what you get. No bolts/nuts are included. I believe it to be for a car that is console equipped. It may fit other year A-Body cars. Feel free to educate me or just buy it and "leave me a'wondering".
