Description: 6"Dia. x 5.5"H A pair of lotus form vases with brown glaze, with highlighted gilding on the flowers. One vase has some wear cracks, and there is a small chip to a leaf on the other, as seen in photos. The Moore Brothers factory was based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, a famous area of pottery factories in the 19th and 20th centuries. Bernard Moore, one of the brothers, set up on his own after Moore Brothers disbanded in 1905, and invented innovative high fired glazes that command high prices in the antiques market.
