Description: William Robert Ware (1832-1915) was an American architect, author, and founder of two important American schools of architecture --at Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This volume, first published in 1882 and in a revised edition in 1900, is a compilation of a series of papers on perspective which he originally contributed to the "American Architect and Building News." Fair to good condition. Pages are clean and unmarked except for a previous owner's name in pencil on a front fly leaf and a small penciled notation on the back end paper. The front free end paper has been neatly torn down its length. There are small tears < 1" on a few pages and a few corners have been turned down. Binding is still sound. Brown cloth covers have wear and light soiling.
