That ribbon is also used to pull the sled. When you supersize image 1 you can better see Clapsaddle's attention to detail on this fine card. Her signature appears at the lower-right edge. This beautifully embossed postcard has been posted and has a 1907 cancellation across the one-cent stamp on the undivided back.
