Description: A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1964 as the third set of Christmas stamps. This was the first time more than one stamp was printed on the same sheet. The stamps are printed in traditional red and green Christmas colors and include mistletoe as a symbol of peace, holly to represent the crown of thorns placed on Christ's head, poinsettia as the traditional Christmas plant and evergreens as the plants used for trees and wreaths. These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office almost 60 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone who loves Christmas and would make a special unique gift for anyone who was married or born in 1964!The position of each Christmas flower in the stamp block may vary depending on where they were cut from the original sheet.
