Description: We are delighted to offer this fine replica ceramic flask from Palaikastro, a site on the far eastern coast of Crete. Measuring approximately 5.5” high, it is hand-painted and meant to hold liquid; perhaps oil of some kind. Its shape is somewhat unusual, a spout and stirrup-style handles added by hand, as well as a flat base, to facilitate the standing upright of the vessel. A great example of Minoan jars. It is marked “Late Minoan Pottery from Palaikastro” on the base. It is gently used with wear consistent with age and use. We appreciate your careful review of the photos as they tell so much more than we can articulate; and ask that you zoom in for a closer look at any and all condition issues. We certainly welcome questions and encourage you to ask before reaching a buying decision. Fixed rate or free shipping applies to US buyers only. As always, thank you for taking a moment to consider this set. And when you have time to browse, we welcome your visit to our EBay store at http://stores.ebay.com/thehuntendshere
