Description: You are looking at a fully branded, dirty version of the 1:43 Williams-Renault FW14B diecast model of 1992 Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 436 926605).1992 would be the year Nigel finally had a car capable of winning the Formula 1 World Championship, with the revolutionary FW14B chassis which made use of advanced technology that had been perfected by the team, using tech such as active suspension system, along with traction control and a semi-automatic transmission. Such was the advancement made by Williams, the FW14B would prove to be almost untouchable in the 1992 Formula 1 World Championship season, particularly in Mansell's hands with his aggressive driving style suited to the high downforce car. Over the course of 1992, Nigel won a then record nine wins over the 16 race season, never finishing lower than second in eleven of the first 12 races (retirement in Canada aside), which included victory at his home race in Silverstone, and a 2nd place in Hungary which was enough to see him crowned World Champion for the first and only time in his career. He would retire from F1 at the end of 1992 (albeit briefly) and would join the American CART series in 1993, going on to win the championship while still the reigning F1 champion from the previous year He ended 1992 with the nine wins, twelve podiums, all but two of the 16 pole positions on offer and eight fastest laps. The model features Nigel's title-winning Williams-Renault FW14B from the 1992 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season. Originally released from the Minichamps 1:43 F1 World Championship Collection in 2017, this new version of the model is part of the "Williams Finish Line Edition" line, with the model given a dirty, race-aged effect. This model comes without the special packaging sleeve the original release had (see photos), but denotes Nigel's stats for the year as the original World Champions Collection version did. It also comes complete with full Camel Tobacco branding (decals supplied by Minichamps) which have been applied by myself onto the model.
