Description: I love miniatures and this little vase all 3.25" of it is so sweet. Why a mini vase. Well, if you collect then you know why. This is by Plankenhammer which is in Germany and it has a picture of a town which apparently is Heidelberg since it also has that printed below. It is stamped with a maker's mark and name on the bottom. It is vintage probably from the 1950's. It is in very good condition. And if you are not a collector mini vases are not just tchakes or nik naks (although they can be). They can be fun for all sorts of little things. They can hold Cotton swabs in a bathroom, or toothpicks on the buffet table. They can hold little appetizer forks or the fancy toothpicks with the frilly stuff on top too. They are darling on a bedside table with little flowers in them to brighten up the space. And if you can collect 8 to 12, you can use them as place card holder. All you need are a few small silk flowers or floral picks that work for whatever event you are doing. Take a small piece of card stock and write the guest name on the card, then tape or glue the card to the stem of your floral pick or flower and put it in the vase by their seat. Miniature vases are simply such fun and come in so many shapes and sizes. This one is a great way to start a collection or add to it. The possibilities are endless, and I love that!! Happy Shopping!
