Description: Miniature salesmans sample dresser from 1883 to 1915 with 3 drawers and small brass pulls. the dresser is 11 1/2 " wide x 8 1/4" deep x 11" high.The dresser appears to be made out of cigar box wood. Most likely Cedar. the bottom of rach drawer is marked with a Type IV Cigar Box Stamp indicating the factory number, tax district and state and the number of cigars inthe box. This type of stamp was used from 1883 to about 1915. This is referenced in Cigarhistory.info; Dating Cigar Boxes.The dresser appears to be finished to look like Mahogany wood.The age is the best estimate from the time the factory stamp was in use.
