Military Heritage of America - Dupuy and Dupuy ©1956 First edition?

Description: To avoid misunderstandings of any sort, I will provide feedback once feedback is given. I would like to know how I am doing, and the opportunity to provide the best experience possible.I want to say that this is a true First Edition, but can't (believe, but can't prove). Not without definitive proof, eg. stated. But I'm pretty sure. What I can say is this: the book was published in 1956 by the McGraw-Hill Book Company, ©1956 by same. 794 very clean pages, ever so slightly touched by age. Dust jacket not price clipped, $10.00, and not a book club edition. Dust jacket does have some chipping to the extremities (see photos), but as a whole in good condition. Cover boards are a dark rust color, depending on color-wheel used I suppose, with minor shelving evidence. Silver title lettering still sharp. Some foxing to the corners, very inconsequential. End papers illustrated. I couldn't find another like it anywhere, as all other copies have blue cloth covers. There is a previous owner's signature on the first title page. It is part of the McGraw-Hill Series in History; perhaps they were all issued as a set. An exemplary copy for a collection of military history and theory. Please see the photos. eBay allows 12 photos and I use all 12 spots. I want potential bidders/buyers to see what they are getting. WYSIWYG. If something else needs additional mentioning, I will try to include it in the description. However, I am fallible and most definitely incorrigible.
