Mid Century Seascape Signed "Lambirth" 1950- Harbor & Fishing Docks NY NJ?

Description: Wonderful Mid-Century painting of a harbor seascape seen -I'm thinking Ny or NJ is the subject matter- It is signed lower right-hand corner "Lambirth" 1950 Frame is a wonderful Champaign wash and looks to be original to the piece. What's wrong with it?
