Restoration in General: Restored pieces by Savage Restoration are done in period finishes as much as and wherever possible. Varnishes are period-sensitive and often (though not always) waxed for a final coating. Some restored pieces are repaired; and when repaired, skills/craft used is as close as possible to period craft. Veneers are replaced and pieced in, breaks often settled with carved similar/same wood species. Joinery is doweled/mortise and tenon as original, eg.
