Description: Vintage Stangl Magnolia Cups & SaucersSet of 6The Stangl Magnolia pattern was designed by Kay Hackett and was introduced in 1952. It remained in production until 1978. This pattern was the first to utilize a new green engobe also developed by Kay Hackett that was different than the usual white Stangl backgrounds. The pattern is one of many floral themed designs and features incised lines and raised detail. Like most Stangl, it is hand painted with no two pieces exactly alike. This set has 6 cups and 6 saucers for a total of 12 pieces. The saucers feature a thick maroon band with a newly blooming magnolia bud in the center. The cups are designed with a fully bloomed magnolia flower on one side and a saucer matching newly booming bud on the other side.Measurements: Saucer ~ 6 1/4" diameterCup ~ 4 3/4" W c 4 3/4" L x 2" H. Holds ~ 6 ounces.In excellent vintage condition. Without chips, deep scratches, or cracks. The graphics are intact and bright. The glaze is shiny.
