It is a blue, brown, green, and red banknote that is dated 31 July 1992, bears the signatures of Jaime Pacreu Vizcaya, Miguel Mancera Aquayo, and Guillermo Priato Fortun, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features the La Cangrejera oil refinery and a portrait of the 44th president, Lazaro Cardenas. Its reverse side depicts the Coyolxauhqui main temple and the Moon Goddess stone carving. Though the banknote does not have a watermark, it has a solid security thread.
