Description: Metropolitan Museum of Art Parisienne Doll French 1870, tag, book Comes with metal stand This is a reproduction of the 1870 original features unglazed-porcelain shoulders and head with a swivel neck, constructed in the same manner as the original, and porcelain hands. Her body is cloth, her gown is iridescent pink taffeta with teal satin trim and a sweeping train. Her undergarments are edged with lace like those of the original. She wears black leatherette high button shoes and white knit stockings. This doll is primarily for display. One of the tiny metal loops for the hook and loop fell off, see last photo. Replacement ones are about 6 for $1.00 This doll was $150.00 over 30 years ago. Sold as is
