Description: This original Mercedes Benz radio, or head unit, works great! Absolutely nothing wrong with it. All of the buttons work, the lights work, it just has a great feel to it. It came out of a 2000 C280. It fits in MANY Benzes. It has some great features: 1. The radio actually has 3 bands: FM, AM, and WB - which picks up continual broadcasts of the weather from the National Weather Service! 2. A tape deck! With cassettes coming back into popularity, this is a great feature. To insert a tape, the front panel opens, like a secret door, when you press the tape button. And the cassette deck even had Dolby noise reduction and has auto -reverse which means you don't have to flip the tape over. 3. The CD button is used to remotely control a CD changer. You can select the CD you want to listen to, skip through the tracks, etc. The coolest thing is that the head unit connects to the CD player via a fiber optic connector. 4. Telephone... So, it's not Bluetooth, but the telephone used to support older technology phones that were often built into Benzes. Pretty much no functionality today. BTW, there is a service on eBay that I've seen that will add Bluetooth to these older radios. There is one cosmetic issue and that's the volume knob - I am including a brand new volume knob that pops right on. Finally, I am offering you FREE shipping which is expensive. This radio weighs quite a bit so shipping would normally be approximately $25ish.
