Description: Meissen Hand Painted Purple Pansies Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1860-1924 AS IS PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING OR MAKING AN OFFER. Antique German porcelain footed tea cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted orange purple and yellow pansies and smaller blue flowers. Marked on the bottom a hand painted underglaze blue crossed swords mark used by Meissen between 1860 and 1924. Has two slashes through the mark. The cup has a small flake to the lip. The saucer has two tight cracks extending off the edge with associated small losses and a large chip to the edge. The cup measures approximately 4 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. GX
