Description: If you have a Medeco Biaxial or M3 cylinder (Rim or Mortise Cylinder with access to the pin stacks through the grub screws on top,) this kit will allow you to swap in all new pins! (Well, they might somewhat match the ones you already have since they're random, but statistically they should be at least mostly new as a worst-case.) If you have a KIK/KIL cylinder - While these pins are compatible, you have to rekey the lock manually (with a key and follower) and would need to find/make a new key, which is not included. For 99.9% of folks, this won't work! This kit includes 6 key pins, 6 driver pins, and 6 springs, all effectively random - except the springs. I do ensure you don't get a ton of duplicates, but these aren't set to any specific bitting/pinning. You can use them in any order you like, and can mix and match multiple sets along with your own pins. You can get one of three flavors: Challenge Level Medium - Typically doesn't include any security pins, though I do try to include a mushroom driver (they're pretty common.) Challenge Level High - I will definitely include some security drivers, as well as one or two of the ARX pins. Challenge Level Medium, Key Pins ONLY - In case you already have a handful of driver pins and springs, this is a good way to expand your key pin collection. Instead of 6 key pins, 6 drivers, and 6 springs, I'll include ~15 key pins. I'll do my best to make sure it's a good variety - you may get a duplicate here and there, but will certainly not get 15 of the same pin. Let me know if you're looking for a specific pin, though I can't guarantee anything. Why no "Max"? Because those stupid ARX-style pins are expensive, and honestly I don't have enough to be selling them 6 at a time. Sorry! A note about Medeco pinning: In real-world use there are guidelines for which length drivers get used with which length key pins, and which key pins can or can not be used adjacent to one another (Medeco MACS are kind of complicated.) These sets will come with matched key/driver pairs, but I don't expect you to know all of the rules. For challenge lock purposes, as long as longer key pins get shorter drivers and vice versa then things will be fine - or, frankly, since it's a challenge lock you can mix it up to make it harder. Worst case you get a tiny key pin with a tiny driver that falls below the shear line and/or you get a tall key pin with a tall driver that can't be lifted high enough. I know you never would, but just in case: Never use my challenge locks or pin kits in locks that are actively used in the real world to protect anything! It is also worth mentioning explicitly that you do not get a key with these pins. I have no idea what order you'll be putting them into the lock, and even if I did, I have no idea what keyway it would need to be. (If I make millions of dollars selling challenge locks on eBay I promise I will start selling anything and everything you want, as long as I can get my hands on it... But we're not there yet.) If you have a question or request, send me a note and I will do my best to get you set up! (But if we're being honest, I'm flailing through life just as much as you!) Happy Picking! (or Pinning in this case!)
