Its title was founded in 1928 to compete against the older Popular Science and Popular Mechanics. Billed as "The How-To-Do Magazine," Mechanix Illustrated (MI) aimed to guide readers through various projects from home improvements and advice on repairs to "build-your-own (sports car, telescope, helicopter, etc)." Magazine is in acceptable condition. Some light staining on the inside interior. Light staining on front and back cover. Edges of cover flaps are frayed. Fraying on edges of front and back cover. Spine has some issues. (See photo #3) Staining on the front and back cover. Front and back cover are separated from the spine about 2 inches top downward. A solid reading with copy.
