Description: A tall and brilliant blue glass (officially called "bluenique") vase by the Viking Glass Company that has that mid-century modernist touch. I love the tapering lines, swung top and three-point base. A cobalt/sapphire blue glass has been blown into a mold and then had the top pulled to form that swung look. The sides have a looped base edge. The pedestal has a three-toe base. There are no marks or labels. MEASUREMENTS 18 ½ in (45.0 cm) tall x 4 ¼ in (10.8 cm) diameter. Weighs 1 lb 12.8 oz (815 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repairs. The glass is a very clear blue. There are tiny bubbles and other imperfections in the glass. A brilliant blue color makes this swung vase stand out. It is a nice size for a display.
