Description: Up for auctiion is an HO scale McKean Models Master Series #0749 40 ft. box car kit in new condition. The model represents an early Pullman built PS-1 boxcar with 6' side doors. Early PS-1s are noted by the absence of ribs in the end panels on the roof. This model best represents prototype PS-1s built in in the late 1940s and into the very early 1950s. The kit is undecorated and features car weight and a simulated wood floor piece in case you model the car with open doors. The car comes with Youngstown style 6' doors. This is a limited edition model no longer made. This makes a fine model of early 40" PS-1s built in the late 1940s to very early 1950s. Recommended upgrades includes an etched roofwalk, free rolling non-magnetic trucks, thinning the side doors before application and weathering the finished car.
