Description: Is your C32 dropping out one or both channels randomly? Do you get random static on one or both channels when playing through your amp/speakers. Relay K901 on the Headphone/Monitor board often fails and causes these symptoms. This relay is the same component as McIntosh 087-029 (K901) and fits C32’s above serial number AY2995 only. Earlier serial numbers use a different component. This -10-2 version of the AZ2531 is 12 VDC and has a 170 Ohm coil. Correct for McIntosh 087-029 replacement. You can check your old relay coil by measuring between the two “middle” pins of the six pin row. These McIntosh C32 Relay Turn On Delay 087-029 are NOS. Condition is "New". This relay is solder mounted on the Headphone/Monitor board. Easy repair for an electronics savvy person. The last picture shows the C32 Headphone / Monitor board as it sits in the unit.
