Description: A fantastic package for the Matt Chapman fan- a game worn home run jersey AND the ball hit for the home run! Matt wore this jersey during the 2019 season up through and including the August 1st game versus the Milwaukee Brewers in Oakland. In the bottom of the 8th inning the A's trailed the Brewers 3-2. The Brewers summoned All-Star closer, Josh Hader to shut down the A's. Robbie Grossman led off with a walk bringing up Chapman with the tying run on base. Hader's first pitch to Matt was a 95 mph four-seam fastball that Matt turned on and drove the ball 409 feet to centerfield to give the A's a 4-3 lead! The home run was Matt's 24th of the season. The home run ball was authenticated by MLB (JD863168). In the photos shown, you can see as Matt rounds 2nd base that the ball came back into the field of play. It was then authenticated by MLB. The jersey was authenticated by MLB (JD863171) immediately after the game and is in an unwashed state. The jersey is made by Majestic and is a size 48. The jersey and ball are a package and will not be split up.
