Masterpiece Arms Articulating Brass Catcher

Description: Masterpiece Arms does some really ingenious and well-made stuff, and this brass catcher is no exception. They are very hard to find for sale. The basket measures roughly 3”x3” square and the depth is 3 ¼” deep. It attaches via the scope base pic rail. The wire frame that holds the bag is adjustable from front to back and top to bottom. In addition, there are two extension pieces (extra pic rail attachment and the articulating arm that holds the basket) that each add about ¼” in length to move the basket away from the action as necessary. Subtle adjustments can also be made to the wire frame to get the exact fit you want. The hinge positions the brass catcher closed (against the ejection opening) or open (90 degrees to the ejection opening) to easily remove the brass. Holds more than 15 full-size short action brass pieces (308, 6.5 and 6mm Creedmoor, etc.) or more smaller brass types such as 6BR, 6BRA, Dasher, etc. I purchased this as an experiment to mount on a Volquartsen Scorpion top rail. I was able to properly set it up, but found the light weight 22LR brass was so light it bounced out of the basket. So, it has never seen much wear or use and is in pretty much mint/new condition. I would not recommend this design to be mounted on a semi-auto gun. That application is better left to someone like Tactical Brass Recovery.
