Signed "Yasami" to the bottom right corner, as well as twice verso, this painting demonstrates Yasami's interest in space, color, and illusionism, combining realistic and surreal elements. A cloudy sky is in the background, with a ball, pen, and paper appearing suspended in space with a grid pattern overlapping most of the composition. The painting is displayed in a gray colored frame. Masoud Yasami received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oregon State University in 1974 and a Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 1978. He has taught as a professor at Arizona State University and University of Utah. Yasami's work has been featured in many exhibitions, including the 1978 World Art Exposition, 1986 - 1989 Los Angeles International Art Fair, and 1987 - 1990 Chicago International Art Exposition.
