Description: Beautiful 1990s vintage cocktail suit from Mary McFadden is constructed in channel quilted (or trapunto) black silk, one of McFadden's signature fabric treatments. The jacket's mandarin collar, lapel, hemline, and cuffs are finished in a wider channel than the jacket shell and skirt. The jacket has small shoulder pads and closes with five self-fabric covered buttons and several hidden snaps. The skirt has waist darts, a long walking vent on the right side, and a side zipper. Both pieces are labeled size 8. Modern sizing charts indicate that the suit is a modern size 6-8, the skirt measuring slightly smaller than the jacket.
