Mary Doll figurine Handmade OOAK artist Gypsy Victorian Peasant rare 11"

Description: *Vintage 1975 one-of-a-kind artist doll by Mary*Southern California Artist*Hand sculpted doll*Handmade dipped cloth dress Presented here is a very rare vintage one-of-a-kind handmade doll by Mary. She stands a little over 11" tall. The doll is sculptured, looks like an un-fired bisque, the delicate features are precisely hand painted, the hair I believe is made of dipped threads, it falls in loose curls down her back. The clothes are cloth, all handmade, they are dipped so they are firm but not fired. The skirt is purple with embroidery, the blouse is white with perfect pleats around the neck and ruffles on the cuffs of the short puff sleeves. A pink pleated petticoat peeks out from underneath the skirt. She has a purple scarf with a fine picot edge around her hair and wears gold chain necklaces with hoop earrings which are real metal. She stands securely on the base which is hand signed by Mary. This doll was originally purchased in Solvang, California in 1975, Mary dolls were sold exclusively in small boutiques and carefully handmade one at a time by the artist. Very hard to find! Excellent condition, no notable damage. I sell a variety of items of which I am not an expert on, please view all photos, they are the major part of the description.
