Description: This whimsical sterling silver cuff bracelet was designed be Maria Belen Nelson of Taxco, Mexico. It features a Day of the Dead Catrina. Day of the Dead is a custom celebrated throughout Mexico to honor loved ones and family members during the first week of November. The design is based upon the illustrations of Jose Posada who is credited with the creation of the “Catrina”. The Catrina originally symbolized the corrupt Mexican society from 1876-1911. Currently, she is associated with the customs of Day of the Dead. The bracelet is 5 5/8” long with a gap of 1 1/4”. It is 1 5/8” wide. It will accommodate a wrist up to 6 3/4”, but it is slightly adjustable to a slightly larger or smaller size. The bracelet is marked “MB Maria Belen Mexico 925”. The weight is 60 grams.
