It has a first quality Meissen mark with a star under glaze. The box is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. The porcelain body is molded witha ribbed pattern. It is hand painted with a blossoming tree in Kakiemon style. The colors are burgundy, puce and gold. The painting is detailed and delicate.
