Description: Recently acquired for the estate of a well known Marble's collector from Michigan is one of his SCARCE Marble's ( M.S.A .) Safety Hunting Knives manufactured from 1902-1913. This early Marble's knife used a gutta percha hard black rubber handle embossed with the Marble's factory info. The oblong hole in the guard even has the Pat. Apl'd For inscription. Marble's was so confident in the success of this designed knife that the very earliest models carried the patent stamp even though it had not been approved before he started manufacturing them. It's clearly marked on the blade M.S.A. Co. Gladstone, Mich. These are rare to find and a wonderful addition for someone's collection. Please check all of our photos and feel free to contact us with any other question or concern. Also, check our other listings for many scarce and rare Marble's knives and axes that we are currently photographing and listing. Thank You #299
