Description: Great mid-century serving/hostess trays (3) featuring stylized Navajo Yei figures. The trays measure approx: 7” x 10” and feature an indented corner to hold a square cup . I believe these trays were probably made by Loma of Arizona for Maisel’s Indian Trading Post. I can find no others that were made for Maisel’s. They are marked “Maisel’s Albuq., N.M.” on the back. Condition on these vintage trays is good. One tray has a repaired chip on the upper right hand corner (see last photo.) Maisel’s Indian Trading Post was started by Maurice Maisel in 1939 after the rerouting of Route 66 through Albuquerque. By the 1940s the Trading Post was the largest of its kind on Route 66. Maisel’s was closed permanently in 2019.
