Description: For sale is a Magnavox 197-20 stereo tube amp. It comes with all of the tubes (shown in the photos). It was pulled from a working console and was recently tested for basic functionality. It works fine. With that said, I wouldn't use it any further until it has a full re-cap. I would also recommend changing the resistors. To test it, I hooked it up to speakers and powered it on with my variac. I slowly brought it up to mains voltage. I hooked a signal generator up to each channel and heard sound. There were definitely some crackles and hum, but this isn't unexpected given the age of the amp. It's an excellent candidate for rebuilding into a nice standalone amp.
