When the smaller, more "high class" digest-sized magazines replaced the pulps in the years after World War Two, it ushered in what many believe was the Golden Age of Science Fiction. SF magazines multiplied rapidly, and a lot of good storytelling was available to eager readers. The magazines I'm selling this week are terrific reading copies - they've been handled, so don't expect them to be pristine and mint. Many show signs of handling, such as minor cover creases, and surface wear. Many are in better condition, and I've tried to make note of any heavier condition flaws. SEE SCAN FOR CONDITION!! These old magazines are highly collectible and sought after by fans. This is the June 1983 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. F&SF is still being published today, more than sixty years after it started in 1949!! F&SF has long been recognized as the most literary and high quality of SF digests, and the classic stories published in its pages over the years are too numerous to list. The magazine is in generally nice shape (see scan for general condition). The starting bid is lower than the cover price for the current issue now on the newsstand!
