Description: Pictures of the bloom are from this particular orchid which lasted for almost 8 weeks. Lycaste Lasioglossa is a species of terrestrial orchid native to Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. This lovely species been in cultivation since 1871, comes from Guatemala and has been used widely for hybridizing contributing its vesicular color to the modern hybrids. It blooms in spring, producing sharply three-sided blooms singly on spikes held above foliage. Blooms usually last from 5 to 8 weeks. The plant enjoys cool conditions but requires dry winter for rest following the growing season. Flowers usually 3.5” across. Fragrant!!! Propagation usually done by division or seed. This plant will be shipped via Priority Mail and will be packed with the most care. If you are in a colder region then it will be wrapped in additional material to keep it warm. I don’t use heat packs. I can't control any delays with a delivery. Lately, it's a lot of issues with USPS. I am also can't guarantee that plant will arrive with intact flowers and buds.
