Description: Up for auction is the following autographed 3x5 card: BIO: Gunther Seeger (Deceased) WWII 1937-1945 Luftwaffe Ace Pilot 56 victories in 504 combat missions, Pilot in the 7./Jagdgeschwader 53, German Knights Cross Recipient March 26th, 1944. Flew in the Battle of Britain, Battle of France, Eastern Front and North African Campaign All flown against the Western Allies. He was awarded the RK on March 26, 1944. Seeger was also a witness on Nov 28th to the action that took the life of the great Helmut Wick. Mr. Seeger joined the Luftwaffe in 1937, and was posted to JG 2 on Feb 26, 1940. Seeger scored his first victory on June 8th of that year. He flew as wingman on the Channel front to such notable pilots as Wilhelm Bathasar, Walter Oesau, Rudolph Pflanz and Erich Leie. Flying with JG 2 he scored 24 victories, and was then posted to JG 53 in 1942, where he continued to run up his score over Tunisia, Sicily and then back to Germany and the invasion Front.
