Not only are they in the original packaging, they are unseated. These aren't for everyone; especially at this price. But for a certain collector they are just the thing. Just the thing if you've an unbelievably rare 1960's Ludwig snare in simply scary condition. If that's you, you may simply keep them boxed. Or you might seat them on that scary snare but a stick will never touch the heads. The only thing that will ever touch them is light and that light will reflect that image up-side down onto the back of your eyeballs which will then project it right-side up on the screen on the inside of your forehead. You may allow this privilege to others. If you don't get any of this then you'll never understand. Don't rack your brains trying to either. Or you may actually play them. Not me. I'm with you : way too expensive! There are oodles of other heads for way less. But if money's no object and you've plenty of it to burn then I have this to say : you'll have to wait, and wait, and wait for not just one of these to ever show up. But two? Don't say I didn't warn you.
