Description: Beautiful Edwardian Solid Silver Sovereign Case by Joseph Gloster Hallmarked Birmingham 1911 Lovely square shape with hammered design and a blank central cartouche In very good condition but it is missing the chatelaine loop at the release button. The clasp and release button work well. The lid is nicely sprung and it closes with a satisfying snap. The coin holder and spring are in good condition, the very top of the coin holder is slightly misshapen, see photos. The case itself is in very good condition with no significant dents or scratches. Both sides are beautifully aligned when closed. The inside of the lid is lightly gilded Hallmarked in a couple of places, the main hallmark is behind the lid which is lovely and crisp It weighs approx 20g.
