The son of Charles Lewis Tiffany, the founder of Tiffany & Co., he became one of the most celebrated figures in the decorative arts during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tiffany is best known for his innovative use of colored glass in creating intricate windows, lamps, mosaics, and glassware, often inspired by nature. His pioneering techniques, such as "Favrile" glass, introduced a new level of artistry in stained glass production. A leader of the Art Nouveau movement, Tiffany's designs contributed significantly to the aesthetics of the Gilded Age, and his work remains highly influential and collectible today.
