The others offer touring or replacement casts, thus: Bye Bye Birdie is the national tour, with Joan Blondell, Elaine Dunn, and Bill Hayes. The stage shotsrecord this cast. Auntie Mame is also the national tour, the first of three tours. Again, the stage shots record this cast.Constance Bennett was the star, and her support (which you can examine on IBDB) is entirely drawnfrom names even an expert would find it hard to identify, though James Coco did have two small bits.I don't spot him in any of the stage shots. Bennett herself seems very lively in the production photos,very unlike Rosalind Russell was on Broadway. On Your Toes' book offers Galina Panova replacing Natalia Makarova, but the rest of the cast seemsto be the opening-night crew. By the Beautiful Sea is the out-of-town tryout book, prepared too early to include stage shots. Instead,there are rehearsal shots, with the cast in street clothes trying to look fizzy. Charles Walters is on hand asthe director, but he apparently left the production. A single page insert (unbound) gives credit to Marshall Jamison and Helen Tamiris.
