They likely are galvanized metal, but the round sections have a rusty patina. The snowbirds are offered in as-found condition, but all appear to be in excellent usable condition. You will find these on many slate and metal roofs across Pennsylvania as they were used used to divert snow and ice as it slid from the rooftops. They are in good shape with no breaks or cracks.
